About this event
Held in Katagami City, Akita Prefecture, the "Kanaashi Oiwake Festival" is the first cross-administrative boundary festival aiming to unite the Oiwake area of northern Akita City and southern Katagami City, which have been divided by a national highway and had not interacted previously. It aims to revitalize the region through interaction between depopulating areas and population-growing areas. On the day of the event, activities will be held across a West Venue and an East Venue at the Oiwake Community Center and the Nice Oiwake Store employee parking lot, serving as an opportunity for local residents and visitors to deepen connections. This festival aims to build new ties in the Oiwake area and boost the vitality of the entire region.
