Held in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, "Nasebanaru! Yonezawa Uesugi Castle Town Run & Rogaining" is a sports event where participants can fully enjoy the charms of Yonezawa while working up a pleasant sweat in the setting of the Uesugi castle town. In this event, you can experience the charms of Yonezawa through two categories: the "Relay Marathon Category," where teams pass the sash (tasuki) along a loop course around Denkokunomori, and the "Sightseeing Rogaining Category," where teams visit multiple checkpoints set up throughout the city to compete for total points. Participants will receive gifts including a "Yonezawa Donburi Matsuri Ticket" usable at the "Nasebanaru Autumn Festival" held at the same venue on the day, sports drinks, light snacks, a special clear file folder, and Yonezawa sweets. In the Relay Marathon Category, a web finisher certificate and small Yonezawa souvenirs are prepared, and in the Sightseeing Rogaining Category, warm refreshments are provided at aid points that participants can stop by during the competition. Near the finish area, the "Nasebanaru Autumn Festival" and health promotion booths will also be featured, allowing you to enjoy Yonezawa all day long. Participation as a team with parents and children, friends, workplace colleagues, or local peers is welcome, as is individual participation. It is an event that offers many ways to enjoy, whether you want to take it seriously aiming for a record, or participate at your own pace while having fun running with team members and sightseeing around Yonezawa.
