The 'Tsuruoka Grand Industry Festival 2026', which aims to introduce the charms of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, commerce, and industry—the key industries of Tsuruoka City—to citizens and revitalize local industries, will be held for two days on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, 2026. At the venue, in addition to exhibitions and sales of fresh agricultural, forestry, and marine products as well as processed goods, visitors can enjoy initiatives involving high school students, such as 'Shono Udon' by Shonai Agricultural High School and canned food sales by Kamo Fisheries High School (October 17 only). A wide variety of programs are available, including product exhibits and demonstrations by local companies, space-related displays, and sales of specialties from friendship and sister cities. Furthermore, at the 'Shonai Forest and Greenery Festival' where you can experience the blessings of forests and forestry machinery, and the 'Monozukuri Area' at Choyo Budokan where 45 manufacturing and craft organizations in the city gather, you can experience the joy of craftsmanship through hands-on activities. Because parking lots around the venue are expected to be extremely crowded, the use of shuttle buses, public transportation, or carpooling is recommended.
