Held in Murayama City, Yamagata Prefecture—known as the 'Birthplace of Soba Highway' and the 'Home of Ita Soba'—the 'Soba Flower Festival' is an event where visitors can savor freshly made buckwheat noodles crafted by soba masters while gazing at expansive fields of pure white soba flowers. Celebrating its 30th anniversary and marking its final edition, this event allows visitors to enjoy local flavors alongside the beautiful scenery of soba fields. Attractions such as direct sales of agricultural produce and a lottery with luxurious prizes for those who purchase soba meal vouchers will entertain visitors. Advance tickets are available for purchase at Otakane Community Center, Kurhaus Goten, Roadside Station Murayama (Michi-no-Eki Murayama), and the Murayama City Commerce, Industry and Tourism Division.
