The '14th Mogami Town Shin-Soba Festival' will be held in Mogami Town, Yamagata Prefecture. At the venue, visitors can enjoy freshly harvested soba made from 'Mogami Wase', a buckwheat variety known for its rich aroma, sweetness, and firm texture. In addition to handmade soba, soba-making tools and local specialty products of Mogami Town will be sold, offering various ways to enjoy alongside the new soba. Free mochi (rice cake) serving is also scheduled in the afternoon. The venue is the gymnasium of the former Akakura Elementary School, with temporary parking available nearby and shuttle bus service provided to the venue. Advance reservation tickets are sold for 800 yen, and same-day tickets for 900 yen. Advance reservations are accepted from Thursday, September 24 to Wednesday, November 11.
