2026 Takahata Town Grape Competition and Direct Sale

About this event

In Takahata Town, the top grape production region in Tohoku, a competition will be held to determine the No. 1 Shine Muscat grapes. The Shine Muscat grapes entered in the competition will also be sold immediately following the judging. The competition features a General Division and a Newcomer Division (for individuals aged 35 or younger or within their first 10 years of farming), presenting awards such as the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Newcomer Award, Superior Quality Award, and Sugar Content Award. At the direct sale, grapes will be sold in boxes starting from 3,000 yen (tax included) per bunch and will end as soon as sold out. Numbered tickets granting the right to purchase grapes will be distributed during the exhibition.
