Radish Harvesting, Field Exploration & Japanese Cuisine with Freshly Harvested Rice and Dashi

About this event

As part of the Food and Agriculture Experience Promotion Project organized by the Yamagata Prefecture Okitama General Branch Administration Office, the 'Radish Harvesting, Field Exploration & Japanese Cuisine with Freshly Harvested Rice and Dashi' experience will be held. This event aims to increase children's interest in agriculture and food, deepen their gratitude toward people involved in food, and foster an understanding of the agriculture that supports our meals. Participants can not only experience harvesting juicy daikon radishes, but also enjoy an activity exploring the fields. Furthermore, by tasting Japanese cuisine prepared with freshly harvested delicious new rice and specially selected dashi broth, they can experience the blessings of food and the wonders of agriculture with all five senses. Through this experience, it will be a valuable opportunity for participants to learn about the connection between food and farming and to deepen their appreciation of rich food culture.
