The 41st Hamamasu Furusato Festival

A community-rooted festival bringing together agricultural, marine, and livestock products nurtured by the rich nature of Hamamasu. Freshly caught salmon landed in Hamamasu will be sold on the spot, alongside Hamamasu-produced Kuroge Wagyu beef and freshly harvested vegetables and fruits. At the venue, the powerful sound of the Hamamasu Horyo Taiko drums will resonate, enlivening the festival atmosphere. In addition, various events for both adults and children will be held, such as a bingo tournament, mochimaki (rice cake toss) with gifts, and a unique Tyrannosaurus race. Combining prized ingredients carefully cultivated by the people living in Hamamasu with traditional performing arts rooted in the community, this major event captivates visitors and adds color to autumn in Hamamasu.
