22nd Shonai Town Arts Festival Opening Commemorative Event

The 22nd Shonai Town Arts Festival will open on Sunday, September 6, 2026, under the theme "In the Mood for Love (Kayonenka) - Sharing the Excitement." The opening commemorative event marks the start of the arts festival, which spans approximately three months. On the day, it will be held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Shonai Town Cultural Creation Hall "Hibiki Hall." Starting at 10:00 AM, an attraction will be performed by the Shonai Town "Hachiro Kiyokawa" Taiga Drama Bid Promotion Council Dance Project, followed by a commemorative ceremony. After that, commemorative presentations will begin at 10:50 AM. There will also be a corner where anyone can freely try playing the koto, which will be held in the Hibiki Hall concourse starting at 1:00 PM. In addition, "Nandero Market in Shonai Town Arts Festival" will be held simultaneously in the Hibiki Hall parking lot, featuring various stalls offering gourmet food, small goods, and accessories that can be enjoyed alongside the arts festival. Admission is free.
