About this event
"Mount Chokai SEA TO SUMMIT" is an environmental sports event that travels from the sea (kayak) through the village (bicycle) to the mountain peak (hiking/climbing) using only human power. Participants aim for the 2,160-meter elevation gain from the Sea of Japan to the summit of Mount Chokai across three disciplines: kayaking, cycling, and hiking (mountain climbing). Considered the toughest among all SEA TO SUMMIT events, it allows participants to experience the grandeur of nature while enjoying alpine flora and stunning views overlooking the Sea of Japan. With a course distance of approximately 32.0 km, the event is bustling with participants and supporters from across the country. While connecting with the magnificent nature at the foot of Mount Chokai, it provides an opportunity to experience the natural cycle and reflect on irreplaceable nature.
