The 32nd Yuza Chokai Walk: Sekkaku Walk

Since you came all the way to Yuza Town, why not fully enjoy the nature of Yuza, the town of natural spring water? A geo-guide will guide you through the highlights of the Mt. Chokai and Tobishima Geopark. The route visits Ushiwatari River, Maruike-sama Pond (mystical with its emerald green water surface), Misaki Coast (an old highway once traveled by Matsuo Basho), Kamaiso Coast (where spring water bubbles up from the sandy beach), Roadside Station Chokai Flat (Michi-no-Eki Chokai Flat), and more. While some travel is by bus, walking sections (approx. 7 km) are included along the way. Wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes is recommended. The event will take place rain or shine, but the itinerary and contents may change depending on weather conditions.
