A large-scale, free-admission event aimed at fostering esports culture and revitalizing the local community, "BTR Fukushima Esports Festival 2026," will be held at the Fukushima City Civic Center. On Day 1, the focus will be on casual game tournaments and interactive activities for families and friends, including an all-ages open tournament "Fukushima Esports Championship: 3-Title Challenge" featuring popular titles such as "Taiko no Tatsujin," "Gran Turismo 7," and "Puyo Puyo eSports." MCs and guests will also appear to liven up the venue. In addition, an eve-of-tournament event by pro players, "TWT 2026 DOJO FUKUSHIMA CUP Eve Festival," is scheduled. On Day 2, the "Tekken 8 TWT 2026 DOJO Tournament FUKUSHIMA CUP" with a total prize pool of 450,000 yen will take place, allowing spectators to watch intense battles among top players up close. Spectating is free, and a live broadcast will be streamed on YouTube. Alongside the gaming events, a wide variety of attractions will be available across both days, including esports trial booths, a trading card game corner, festive fair stalls, kitchen cars (food trucks), a Fukushima local products exhibition, and student-led projects. It offers a full day of fun for a broad range of visitors, from complete beginners to competitive scene enthusiasts.
