About this event
This exhibition highlights the "Arts and Crafts Movement," a design movement that emerged in late 19th-century Britain. Amid the growth of machine manufacturing brought by the Industrial Revolution, it introduces the philosophy of this movement, which focused on the beauty and creativity found in artisans' handcrafts, striving for harmony between art and daily life, and envisioning an ideal society where the joy of work and a fulfilling life are connected. The exhibition showcases approximately 170 diverse pieces, including wallpapers, textiles, furniture, craft objects, and books by William Morris, alongside stained glass designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Through these works, visitors can fully appreciate the significant influence the Arts and Crafts Movement exerted on the formation of modern design and explore its rich world of creativity.
