JMSDF Destroyer Yudachi Public Exhibition in Onahama Port Pier No. 3

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, a public exhibition of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer 'Yudachi' will be held at Pier No. 3 of Onahama Port in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. On the day, no prior registration is required and admission is free. Visitors can board and tour the destroyer 'Yudachi', with a total length of 151 meters and a standard displacement of 4,550 tons, following the staff's instructions on board. In addition, SDF vehicles such as High Mobility Vehicles and Type 73 light trucks will be exhibited on the wharf. Furthermore, F-2 support fighters belonging to the JASDF Hyakuri Air Base are scheduled to fly over Onahama (may be canceled depending on the weather). On the 4th floor of Aeon Mall Iwaki Onahama, a panel exhibition introducing the SDF's disaster dispatch activities will also be held. A shuttle bus is scheduled to run from 'Shiome no Eki (East Side)' to the venue on the day. Baggage inspections will be conducted upon boarding. For safety reasons, visitors are urged to refrain from boarding in skirts, sandals, or high heels. Strollers and wheelchairs are not permitted on board.
