Izumi Hometown Festival is an event featuring strong local character, held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 8:30 to 15:00. At the venue, the Akadama Procession and Izumi Mikoshi (portable shrine) parade will take place, drawing on the history of Izumi Domain as a castle town. In addition, the 'Goccha-ichi' by the Izumi Merchants Association will be held concurrently, featuring various street stalls. The schedule includes performances by the Izumi Junior High School brass band and chorus club, performances of Akadama Yakko, and the procession of the Izumi Mikoshi. At the festival's climax, a grand raffle with luxurious prizes is scheduled on the main stage. On the day before, an eve festival called 'Iwaki Odori Izumi Tournament' will also be held. Parking is provided at Onahama Citizens Sports Ground, with free shuttle buses running between the parking area and the venue. Traffic restrictions will be in effect for the festival, so visitors arriving by car are advised to check the guide map in advance.
