The music festival Shirakawa Machinaka Music 3Days 2026 will be held across venues in downtown Shirakawa, showcasing diverse genres and styles. Over three days, visitors can casually enjoy a wide range of music, including classical, jazz, and traditional Japanese music, while strolling through town. On Saturday, October 10, performances by artists such as Sachiyo Nayuki Quartet, Ayako Tanaka & Yuki Miura, Jintayu Takemoto, Susumu Otsuka & Yumiko Nagamine, and Hiroko Watanabe & Hirokuni Watanabe will take place at downtown venues including Shirakawa Station Event Plaza, Shirakawa City Central Community Center, Gesshin-in, Slow Life no Yu Kobo, and Choju-in. On Sunday, October 11, Kazuma, Kyohei Ando, Masae Nambu, Jun Yamamoto, and Hogaku Solisten Tomosedai (Tomohisa Fukuda & Sora Wakamatsu) will perform at venues such as Shirakawa DIY Workshop 380, the Kurazashiki of the former Waki-honjin Yanagiya Ryokan building group, Josen-ji, Shin-Kashima (Chapel), and Kashima Shrine. On the final day, Monday (national holiday), October 12, Maki Mori & Ken Nishikiori Duo Recital 'Amazing Songs: Carrying Love and Brilliance in Song' will take place in the Cominess Main Hall. Admission to downtown venues is free, while hall performances require paid tickets. Daycare services are available (reservation required).
