Horse Familiarity Day in Minamisoma 2026

About this event

Minamisoma City has included "promotion of equestrian culture and equestrian-related tourism" in its comprehensive plan, supporting public-private equestrian promotion projects and equestrian-related events. Continuing from last year, an event sponsored by the city will be held where visitors can learn about, interact with, and experience equestrian culture, epitomized by the Soma Nomaoi. The event features demonstrations of equestrian culture and horsemanship, horse interactions, horseback riding experiences, horse-drawn carriage rides, and workshops. The "Nomahara Marche" will also be held concurrently.
