About this event

One of Japan's largest folklore music festivals, held in Kawamata Town, Fukushima Prefecture. Over three days, folklore enthusiasts, both professional and amateur, gather from across the country, filling the venue with the gentle yet powerful sounds of instruments like the quena, charango, and bombo. At this event celebrating the charm of Latin American music, attendees can feel human love, love of nature, joy, tolerance, and warmth through music. Held annually for three days over the second Saturday, Sunday, and holiday of October, one highlight is the pre-festival Cosquin Parade marching through town.
