The 18th Minamiaizu New Soba Festival

One of the largest fresh soba festivals in the prefecture, where visitors can savor the aromatic new-crop soba of Minamiaizu Town. Master soba makers from Minamiaizu and from across the region gather to showcase their prized noodles. This year, stalls from both inside and outside the prefecture are planned, offering a wide variety of soba to enjoy. In addition to freshly made soba, on Sunday, October 11, the Minamiaizu New Soba Festival Fireworks will light up the night sky. Advance tickets are sold as a 2-meal ticket for 1,300 yen, and same-day tickets (700 yen per meal) can be purchased at the venue's ticket booth. Soba is served on a ticket system inside the venue, and only cash is accepted. Several parking areas are available around the venue, but arriving with plenty of time is recommended due to expected congestion. Pets are not allowed inside the venue, and pet owners are responsible for manners in surrounding areas. Soba flour and raw soba noodles are not sold on-site, though contact information for purchasing inquiries is provided separately.
