About this event
The popular annual event 'Utsukushima Mizu Walk 2026 Miharu Event' will be held. Miharu Town is a town rich in nature and history, named because plum, peach, and cherry blossoms bloom simultaneously. In this event, courses are prepared to tour Miharu Takizakura, a nationally designated Natural Monument and one of Japan's three great cherry blossom trees, as well as the multi-purpose Miharu Dam and Lake Sakura. Participants can fully enjoy the charms of Miharu Town while taking in the beautiful scenery. In addition to a 5 km course and an 11 km course, a 'Manabun Course' is also available where participants can learn about the history of Miharu Town with a guide, allowing for diverse ways of enjoying the event. As participation gifts, two Otari Manju buns, tofu (tentative), and a 200-yen shopping voucher will be provided. The opening ceremony begins at 9:30 AM, and the starts for each course will take place sequentially from around 9:45 AM. Refreshments and a raffle are also planned, with the entire event scheduled to end at 2:00 PM. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be canceled in the event of severe weather. Because wild animals and birds have been sighted around the courses, please participate with safety precautions in mind.
