2nd Classic & Supercar Festival in Futaba Town
Japanese name:第2回 名車の祭典 in 双葉町
📅 Sun, Sep 6, 2026
About this event
The "2nd Classic & Supercar Festival in Futaba Town," held in Futaba Town, Fukushima Prefecture, is an event where classic cars and supercars gather together. Using The Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum and the Futaba Industry and Exchange Center as venues, a wide variety of vehicles will be exhibited, from vintage classic cars to the latest supercars. In addition to vehicle displays, visitors can enjoy live music performances, food trucks, and merchandise booths. Under the theme "Gathering Famous Cars, Forged Bonds, Reunions in Futaba Town," this event aims for emotional revitalization, local community revival through automobiles, and passing passion on to the next generation. Rare, famed cars are positioned as "symbols of resilience (recovery)," bringing together owners from across Japan. Rather than remaining a one-off tourism event, its true purpose is to create a "continuous connected population (Futaba fans)" with a deep affection for Futaba Town, bridging the town's memories and vibrancy to the future. The engine sounds of nostalgic cars once seen in town serve as a trigger to reawaken the "sounds of daily life" and "town vibrancy" for those who have returned from evacuation and those considering returning in the future. To support and encourage those enveloped in grief by the Great East Japan Earthquake, we will create one wonderful, top-notch day (famed cars, music, models) together with friends. Admission is free, but cooperation with a questionnaire is required.
