In Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, "Namie Town Harvest Festival 2026," a food festival symbolizing the town's abundant nature and progress toward recovery, will be held. Marking its 4th edition this year, the event creates a special day through collaborations between carefully selected ingredients from Namie Town and top chefs from Tokyo, Sendai, and local Namie. The agricultural and marine products nurtured in this land surrounded by sea and mountains have been passed down alongside a unique food culture. The primary goal of this event is to widely share the deliciousness of Namie Town's present as it advances toward reconstruction. Ingredients cultivated with great care by passionate producers will be transformed into exclusive one-day special menus by five renowned restaurants. On the day, a wide variety of local Namie sake will be available to complement the dishes, including limited-edition and rare varieties rarely seen elsewhere. Beyond being a simple gourmet event, this harvest festival offers a warm space where people connected to Namie Town and first-time visitors can deepen connections over delicious food and local sake while reflecting on the spirit and culture of Namie. Under the theme "Energizing Japan from Namie Town!", the festival aims to promote the true value of Namie's ingredients. A "Producers Tour" will also be held concurrently, offering a valuable opportunity to learn how these fine ingredients are produced and connect with the producers' passion.
