Rekishikan Ginkgo Festival 2026

The "Rekishikan Ginkgo Festival 2026," held at the Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History, will take place from November 1 to November 23, 2026. During this period, the ginkgo tree avenue and gardens will be illuminated, allowing visitors to enjoy magical scenery. As for events, the "Children's Traditional Culture Festival" will be held on November 7, and the "Prefectural Citizens' Day Concert" on November 13. In addition, the "Ginkgo Avenue Street Piano" will be held on November 14, where visitors can freely participate in playing or listening to performances. Furthermore, on November 21, the "Night Time Museum" will be held, offering free admission even at night (last entry at 19:15). This festival aims to provide opportunities to experience local culture and history and to entertain visitors. Depending on the event, advance registration or fees may be required.
