41st Mito Film Festival

About this event

Held to promote and disseminate Mito's film culture, the '41st Mito Film Festival' is a film festival focusing on popular domestic and international films as well as filmmakers and works connected to Mito. In particular, screenings of 35mm film movies and short films, which are rarely seen in Mito, are scheduled, providing a valuable opportunity to experience the history and technology of cinema. As a special program, a project screening landscapes captured by renowned cinematographer Ko Kawamata, a Mito native, will also be held, showing masterpieces that have left their mark on film history on 35mm film in Mito, a place associated with him. For film fans, it will be an event where they can not only enjoy a collection of masterpiece works, but also rediscover the depth of cinema.
