About this event
"PLACE 2026" is an outdoor music festival held in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which began as support for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. It started in 2012 from the desire of a local band wanting to "energize this town with our music," and has continued to grow ever since as a "place of hope" where anyone from children to the elderly can easily participate. In this event, Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (CCC) is newly joining as a co-organizer to support regional revitalization by producing the "Hitachi Otonari Marche," which combines music with a food market featuring local Hitachi offerings. At the market, Hitachi's appeal will be showcased through the sale of Hitachi City agricultural produce and specialty goods, as well as the provision of local sake and craft beer. Diverse contents are prepared, including live music, fireworks displays, a food area, a kids' area, and PR booths, aiming to evolve as a platform connecting local culture to the future.
