FY2026 Ryugasaki E-sports Tournament

Ryugasaki City in Ibaraki Prefecture will host its first-ever city e-sports tournament, the "FY2026 Ryugasaki E-sports Tournament," on October 3, 2026, at TOKIWA Stadium Ryugasaki. Making full use of the stadium's large scoreboard, this tournament will feature thrilling battles using the popular game "VALORANT." The tournament format consists of preliminary rounds played in 1vs1 skirmishes, after which the top 5 players will form an impromptu team to face off in a 5vs5 match against "ORB GARDEN," a professional e-sports team based in Ibaraki Prefecture. Eligibility is for ages 16 and older, open to participants from both inside and outside the prefecture, and free for up to the first 40 applicants. On the day of the tournament, free e-sports trial booths and delicious food trucks are scheduled outside the venue, making it an event enjoyable not only for e-sports fans but also for local residents. It is drawing attention as a community-based e-sports event hosted by a local government utilizing stadium facilities.
