About this event

Held at the Ryugasaki City General Gymnasium "New Life Arena Ryugasaki (Tatsunoko Arena)" and the Ryugasaki City Athletic Stadium "AI MECHATECH Field Ryugasaki (Tatsunoko Field)", the "Citizens' Sports and Recreation Festival 2026" is an event where visitors can enjoy trying out about 30 sports. Corners such as a health and fitness area and a new sports experience corner will be set up, allowing participants to casually try various sports. Depending on the number of activities tried, participation prizes will be given to preschoolers who try 5 or more events and to elementary school students and older who try 10 or more events, with special prizes for participants who try even more events. In particular, the Ryugasaki City Sports Test is included among the experience events, allowing participants to check their physical fitness level while having fun. In case of rain, the event will be held with some changes to the program. A lottery draw will also be held on the day of the event, adding to the excitement. Indoor shoes are required. In addition, the pool will be open to the public for free during event hours, so visitors can enjoy the pool if they bring swimwear.
