This is a contest of handmade scarecrows, which have been cherished as symbols of agriculture and guardian deities of rice fields. Numerous unique, highly creative scarecrows submitted by members of the general public through a contest format line the venue. Wrapped in a somewhat warm, nostalgic atmosphere, it is an event that delights visiting guests. The elaborately crafted scarecrows, which reflect the distinctive character of the Satomi area boasting abundant nature, are its main highlight.
