Tokyo University of the Arts First Laboratory of Nihonga Research Presentation Exhibition

About this event

This is the annual "Ikken-ten" research presentation exhibition held by the First Laboratory of Nihonga (Japanese Painting), Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. This academic year, alongside students and faculty members, invited artist Reiichi Tsuchiya has been welcomed, with works from a total of 20 artists on display. The First Laboratory of Nihonga constantly explores new forms of Japanese painting expression; based on contemporary sensibilities while reflecting on the history of Japanese painting that has changed and diversified over time, they present their works. Through this exhibition, it is hoped that visitors will find an opportunity to contemplate Japanese painting deeply.
