About this event
"Tsukuba Marugoto LAB" is a hands-on experiential program unique to the science and technology city of Tsukuba, designed for children to meet researchers and discover their own "questions." In "First Lab," the 1st session of the 4-part program, "Fun and Wonder Science Experiment Crafts" using familiar materials will be held for 4th to 6th grade elementary school students. Through science experiments and crafts full of surprises and discoveries—such as an experiment to make hard-boiled quail eggs without using fire or electricity—even children who find science difficult can experience the joy of science. In addition, a research presentation session by elementary and junior high school students from "Tsukuba SKIP Academy" will be held simultaneously at the venue, allowing visitors to see the results of investigations and experiments conducted on questions the students discovered themselves. Through dialogue with researchers and authentic experiment experiences, it will be a day that nurtures children's curiosity and spirit of inquiry.
