Kashima Rediscovery Town Walk Tour: Land of the God's Descent

About this event

This tour is a walking event to experience the history and culture of Kashima, heading toward the Higashi no Ichino Torii (First East Torii Gate), which is said to be the place where Takemikazuchi-no-Okami landed in the eastern lands after completing negotiations for the transfer of the land in Izumo. On the tour, you can visit Jinjo-ji Temple and the 100 Koshin-to stone monuments, reflecting on ancient beliefs and people's lives. Walking the approximately 7km course, you can rediscover the hidden charms of Kashima. Participants will also receive commemorative merchandise for the 200th edition of the Kashima Rediscovery Town Walk Tour.
