The 11th Gozenyama Trail Run Tournament

Held in Hitachiomiya City, Ibaraki Prefecture, the 11th Gozenyama Trail Run Tournament is a trail running event set against the beautiful nature of the pristine Naka River—often called the "Arashiyama of Kanto"—and Mount Gozen. Runners dash through a diverse course while enjoying views of dams, the river, and autumn foliage. Three categories are available to suit various fitness levels: Long Course (approx. 28 km), Short Course (approx. 10 km), and Beginner Course (approx. 6 km). The event will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, rain or shine (cancelled in severe weather). The venue is Fureai Hiroba (next to Roadside Station Katsura (Michi-no-Eki Katsura)); there will be no check-in or opening ceremony on the day, and number cards and other materials will be mailed in advance. Participants are expected to understand the nature of trail running competitions and act with safety in mind. Environmental awareness is emphasized, and all participants are required to carry out their own trash. Gift certificates for Roadside Station Katsura (Michi-no-Eki Katsura) will be provided as participation prizes.
