About this event

Boasting a history of over 90 years, the Daigo Town Fireworks Festival is revived after 7 years. This fireworks festival traces its origins to Showa 8 (1933), when set-piece fireworks and aerial fireworks were displayed during the festival day of Daigo Jizo-son, and it has been cherished by the local community for many years. Although the event was suspended due to the impact of the Reiwa 1 East Japan Typhoon (Typhoon Hagibis) and COVID-19, its long-awaited revival has now been decided in celebration of the opening of Matsunumahashi Bridge and the completion of Roadside Station Okukuji Daigo WEST. Large fireworks will brilliantly illuminate Daigo Town's autumn night sky, delivering vibrancy and inspiration to the town. In 2026, there will be no Toro Nagashi (floating lantern ceremony).
