At Umemura Garden, a chisen-kaiyushiki (circuit style pond) garden rare in Hokkaido, autumn foliage reaches its best viewing period. Built in 1930, this garden is designated as a cultural property of Yakumo Town, and viewing autumn leaves while strolling around the pond is exceptional.
