Special Feature Exhibition: Jakuchu Has Arrived!

This is a special feature exhibition displaying diverse works by the mid-Edo period painter Ito Jakuchu and introducing his appeal. It offers an opportunity to view numerous precious works arriving from Kyoto in Sano. Among them, the museum's Important Cultural Property "Vegetables and Insects (Saichu-fu)," a late-period masterpiece by Jakuchu featuring meticulous depictions of vegetables, fruits, insects, and more, will be shown for a limited time. Because "Vegetables and Insects (Saichu-fu)" is a long handscroll, exhibits will be rotated between the first and second halves of the exhibition period, allowing visitors to enjoy different sections. Concurrently, "Yoshizawa Collection Ceramics and Kyoto" will also be held.
