Sakuyama Gotenyama Autumn Foliage Festival

Held at Gotenyama Park in Sakuyama, Otawara City, Tochigi Prefecture, the Sakuyama Gotenyama Autumn Foliage Festival is an event where visitors can enjoy beautiful autumn leaves. Starting with an Iroha maple tree with an estimated age of over 200 years, the maple trees throughout the park turn vibrant colors, captivating visitors. During the festival period, nighttime illuminations are also conducted, allowing you to enjoy magical night views of the autumn foliage. The approximately 80 Tosa maple trees are a major highlight, and the breathtaking scenery is popular with photographers. It is an ideal location to photograph the leaves turning red under the autumn sunlight as well as glowing against the night sky under illumination. In addition, submissions of tanka and haiku poems related to autumn in the Sakuyama area will be accepted during the period.
