Yuyu Dining & Sky Lantern Night 2026

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, "Yuyu Dining & Sky Lantern Night 2026" will be held at Ujiie Yuyu Park in Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture. It is organized by the Sakura City Ujiie Tourism Association. Around sunset, a limited 200 Sky Lanterns® will be launched into the night sky. Admission is free. The large pond at Ujiie Yuyu Park reflects the sky like a water mirror, creating a special landscape reminiscent of the Salar de Uyuni. In the autumn-tinged afternoon, visitors can enjoy sweets, music, dance, and sunset dining. After sunset, the Sky Lanterns® filled with participants' wishes will illuminate the magical night sky and water surface, helping create special memories with loved ones. Please enjoy a heartwarming autumn evening with your family and friends. The schedule for the day is: event starts at 14:00, lantern exchange begins at 14:30, lantern exchange ends at 16:00, lighting ceremony scheduled around 17:00-18:00, sky lantern launch event held around sunset, and event concludes at 19:00. The participation fee is 2,500 yen for advance reservations and 3,500 yen on the day if stock is available. The event is supported by Sakura City with cooperation from the Japan Sky Lantern Association.
