During summer vacation, 'Creating and Connecting: Community Building' will be held at Shimotsuke City Hall. In this event where children take center stage, they can learn money literacy and greetings while having a sustainable experience at the 'Kids Flea Market'. It also includes creative activities such as designing their own shop, making it a great option for summer vacation homework. In addition, the 'Let's Build Our Dream Shimotsuke!' workshop gives full play to children's imagination and ideas, offering an opportunity to think about Shimotsuke today and in the future. On stage, performances by local dance teams and mother performers, as well as talent presentations, are scheduled, offering opportunities to build a sense of accomplishment, success, and deeper connection with the community. Numerous food trucks, workshops, and fun corporate booths will also be present, setting up a market-like area where visitors can drop by casually and have fun. The event centers around the theme of 'connections' born from making things, aiming to foster empathy and a sense of ownership. It carries the hope of improving children's living environments and making the city a safe and secure place.
