Akagi Onuma & Shirakaba Marathon

A marathon race held along the shores of Lake Onuma on Mount Akagi at an altitude of 1,360 meters. With a temperature roughly 10 degrees Celsius cooler than downtown urban areas, runners can enjoy the beautiful nature while feeling cool breezes in the shade of white birch trees. The crisp air near the summit of Mount Akagi and magnificent scenery captivate participants. The course is a 5-kilometer loop around Lake Onuma on Mount Akagi, featuring the great appeal of running while fully immersed in natural beauty.
