About this event
The "Michi-1 Grand Prix 2026," a food festival deciding the No. 1 Roadside Station gourmet dish, will be held in Maebashi City for the first time. Carefully selected signature dishes from roadside stations nationwide gather, and the Grand Prix is determined by visitor votes. Held since 2016, this marks the 8th edition of the event. A total of 27 gourmet dishes from 24 roadside stations across the country are scheduled to open stalls; flavors rarely tasted in daily life—from north to south, seaside towns to mountain hamlets—gather in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture for these 2 days only. You can enjoy food tasting while imagining the "unknown towns" that lie beyond the dish names. Please note that food and beverage service in the venue runs until 16:00, and voting closes at 15:00. This event is not just a food festival, but provides an experience like a "mini trip around Japan" discovering the charms of various parts of Japan through food.
