7th ONSEN Gastronomy Walking in Maebashi & Akagi Slow City

About this event

"Gastronomy tourism" is a style of travel where participants walk through a region, savor its distinctive cuisine, and discover its local history and culture. Adding hot springs to this concept creates the new experience of "ONSEN Gastronomy Tourism." Celebrating its 7th edition, this event will be held in conjunction with the biennial "Sosha Lord Akimoto History Festival" and the inaugural "Maebashi International Arts Festival." Experience a special day connecting the storied history of Maebashi, its evolving identity as an art city, and exceptional regional food. The walk departs in staggered intervals starting at 9:15 AM from the North Exit of JR Maebashi Station according to reservation times, covering a course distance of approximately 9.5 km. The participation fee is 5,000 yen (tax included), with the same price applying to both adults and children. Applications are scheduled to open in early September.
