Held in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, the '37th Haruna Pear Festival' is an event packed with plans for families and friends to enjoy, including direct sales of in-season Haruna pears and agricultural produce. At the venue, in addition to direct sales of pears and produce, stage events such as taiko drumming, Yagibushi music performances, and cheerleading will be held. In addition, Fruit Ninja Haruna 'Nashinosuke' will make an appearance, with rock-paper-scissors tournaments, pear peeling contests, and lotteries scheduled. Food trucks will be present, and a festival fair area featuring ring toss, shooting gallery, and coloring corners will be set up, while Marche Maruhiro offers handmade general goods and accessories for sale, head massages, and various workshops. Haruna pears reach their prime season from mid-August to early October, with various varieties such as Kosui, Hosui, Akizuki, Nijusseiki, and Nansui. As surrounding roads and parking lots may be congested on the day of the event, checking information in advance is recommended.
