In the Fukiage area of Kasakake-cho, Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, the "Sunflower Field Festival" featuring approximately 200,000 blooming sunflowers will be held. The best viewing time is expected from late September to mid-October. Events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the municipal organization are also scheduled, with various programs held throughout the festival period. On Saturday, October 10, performances will include games by kindergarten children, Japanese taiko drum performances by Watarase Special Needs School, chorus by Chorus Wakaba, a chindon parade by Watarase Happy Paradise, brass band performances by the Midori Civic Wind Orchestra, and "Martial Arts of Kasagake" by the Kasakake Preservation Society. On Sunday, October 11, there will be taiko drumming and singing by kindergarten children, street performances by students of the Sawairi International Circus School, Hawaiian dance by Wa Hula Studio Makalapua & Okika, and taiko drum performances by students of Kiryu Seio High School. In addition, an open-air tea ceremony service by the Kasakake Tea Ceremony Association will be held as a concurrent event. On Monday, October 12, Yagibushi folk dance will be performed by students of Wasegaku Pure High School Kiryu Campus. During the festival period, direct sales of local specialty products will also take place while supplies last. Event details are subject to change depending on the weather.
