About this event

This is a beginner-friendly overnight camping experience event held at -be- Kita-Karuizawa Camp Field in Kita-Karuizawa. Pilzcafe+ provides attentive on-site support covering everything from pitching tents and using tools to packing up. This event is ideal for those who feel anxious about jumping straight into an overnight stay but want to properly experience camping, as well as those looking to discover a camping style that suits them before purchasing gear. At an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters in summer Kita-Karuizawa, participants can learn the fundamentals of camping while enjoying the cool plateau nature. The bonfire experience offers beginners hands-on practice ranging from handling firewood to safe extinguishment, along with learning simple rope work. Additionally, you can test out "time spent camping" at your own pace—relaxing in the tent or having meals. It provides a reassuring opportunity for families, partners, and friends to experience camping for the first time. On weekdays, the event is limited to one group per day, allowing you to enjoy the experience at your own pace without worrying about other participants' progress. Those interested can also try their hand at setting up a tarp. Meals, ingredients, and drinks must be brought by participants, but all camping equipment such as tents, chairs, and fire pits are provided, allowing you to join empty-handed.
