Shinshu Takayama Hillclimb Challenge 2026

About this event

The "Shinshu Takayama Hillclimb Challenge 2026" will be held in Takayama Village, Nagano Prefecture. Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the village's municipal organization, this event is a full-scale hillclimb race with a total length exceeding 20 km and an elevation gain of 1,300 m. Set in Takayama Village surrounded by magnificent nature, the race is filled with hospitality and supported by many local villagers. The event aims to showcase Takayama Village's appeal as a premier cycling destination, increase visitor exchange, and revitalize the region. Guest riders Naoto Saida and Goro Kakehi are confirmed to participate, promising exciting performances from the challengers. Maintenance of the descent route is also underway, allowing participants to take on the race with peace of mind.
