The "51st Otobe Town Industry Festival," held in Otobe Town, Hokkaido, is a major regional event themed around community interaction. At the venue, numerous food stalls and refreshment corners featuring beer, yakitori, and more will be set up, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the flavors of Otobe. There will also be a specialty goods direct-sale market offering agricultural produce and other local items at budget-friendly prices, serving as an opportunity to relish local blessings. The traditional mochi-maki (rice cake tossing) attracts great popularity every year, and various stage programs are scheduled to enliven the venue. In fiscal year 2025 (Reiwa 7), the festival relocates to the site adjacent to the Imperial Army Landing Monument, with a diverse lineup of events planned, including singing, dancing, musical performances, and games. Key highlights include a powerful YOSAKOI Soran parade by Shinkotoni Tenbu Ryujin and a music show featuring performers Erika Terashima, Yoko Wagatsuma, Ichiro Toba, and Tetsuji Kimura. Stage performances such as disco dance and hip-hop dance by dance clubs from both inside and outside the town will also be showcased. Furthermore, a mochi-maki with prize tickets to win Otobe specialties will be held, bringing adults and children together in enjoyment.
