At Kawagoe Hachimangu Shrine in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, the 'Kawagoe Hachimangu Tanabata Festival' will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026. On the day from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tanabata decorations will adorn the shrine grounds, brightening the summer night. Stalls for traditional fair games and food trucks, as well as shrine-specific offerings such as kagura dance and hayashi music performances, are also scheduled. As darkness falls, the Tanabata light-up will take place, allowing you to entrust your wishes at the end of summer in a fantastical atmosphere.
