The 'Grand Sumo Autumn Tour Chichibu Basho', held in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, will take place at the Chichibu City Cultural Gymnasium on Friday, October 9, 2026. At this tour, you can see the powerful bouts of sumo wrestlers up close. For public transportation access to the venue, it is recommended to take the JR Takasaki Line to Kumagaya Station, transfer to the Chichibu Railway, get off at Onohara Station, and walk for about 20 minutes, or take the Seibu Kanko Bus Haraya Line from Seibu-Chichibu Station, get off at the Bunka Taiiku Center Iriguchi bus stop, and walk for about 2 minutes. For visitors arriving by car, since there is no parking at the venue, guidance is provided to use the temporary parking lots at Haraya Ground (100 cars) or the Chichibu Municipal Wholesale Market (400 cars) and take the free shuttle bus operated from there. Bringing outside food and drinks is prohibited for hygiene and safety management reasons. Advance ticket sales were held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Yao Department Store 5th Floor Travel Salon, and general sales began on Tuesday, July 21 of the same year at each JA Chichibu branch.
