About this event
The '2nd Pirika Festa', a major summer event held in Imakane Town, is based at Kurhaus Plaza Pirika, a hot spring accommodation facility built at the foot of the mountain opposite Pirika Dam. A variety of attractions are scheduled, including brass band performances, a grand bingo raffle, and visiting workshops from the Paleolithic Culture Museum. The 'Nagashi Pasta' (flowing pasta), which was popular last year, uses Imakane Danshaku potato vichyssoise (cold soup) as its dipping sauce. In addition, visitors can enjoy stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) experiences on Lake Pirika and Pirika Dam guided tours. The stage features clarinet music, magic, juggling & fire shows, taiko drumming, and popular song performances, while fairground attractions include gold panning, woodworking, tatami making, medaka scooping, board games, skateboarding experiences, free admission to the rhinoceros beetle house, shooting galleries, and 'Go with a Backhoe'. Food and beverage booths plan to sell shaved ice, fried chicken (karaage), tropical juices, charcoal-grilled Imakane Wagyu beef plates, and baked pasta. From children to adults, it will be a day to fully enjoy the summer at Pirika amidst grand nature.
