Held in Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture, the "Burn! Commerce and Industry Association Youth League!! 23rd Konosu Fireworks Festival" is organized by the Konosu City Commerce and Industry Association Youth League. Set along the Arakawa riverbed, over 20,000 fireworks illuminate the night sky. Spectators can watch powerful Yonshaku-dama (approx. 120 cm diameter) and Sanshaku-dama (approx. 90 cm diameter) shells up close for an emotionally moving experience. This festival is a rare, 100% handmade citizen-participation fireworks display where youth league members—composed of owners and next-generation managers of local shops and businesses—volunteer to handle everything from planning and operation to cleanup. Many children and volunteer staff gather, fostering a strong sense of community unity. Paid viewing seats are available, accommodating over 23,000 people including sponsor seating. It is accessible on foot in about 40 minutes from JR Takasaki Line Konosu Station or Kita-Konosu Station.
